The highly anticipated Semi Final first leg Clash between German Champions Bayern Munich and the about to be crowned Spanish Champions Barcelona kicked off and the tension increased in the Barcelona faithfuls, while individuals who supported the German Champions were calm as their team showed the world how complete their team is in attacking and at defending. Barcelona who had earlier announced via their Twitter account that "Messi recieves the discharge, the player has overcome his injury and is fit to play against Bayern" thought the announcement would send shivers down the spine of the German Club.
The Argentine Superstar who couldn't produce a great performance to help his team secure atleast a draw was seriously humilated as I have never watched or heard of a football match in the 20th Century where the Almighty Barcelona team got defeated and trampled by a 4-0 scoreline in the UCL.
Signs of lack of sharpness as a result of the injury to Messi and the fact that the German side defence had to make him drop too deep to get the ball and could not provide the attacking thrust needed by his team just like he did against AC Milan in the return leg match at Nou Camp.
