#FRESHOUT9jaUpdate Reverend Al Sharpton Tags Trayvon Martin Verdict as ‘A Slap In The Face’

Rev. Al Sharpton has released a statement through his Facebook page directly addressing the NOT GUILTY vedict given by judges in the George Zimmerman manslaughter case following the shooting to death of unarmed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012.
   The civil rights leader who has severally been reffered to as “race baiting” by supporters of George Zimmerman has been vocally active in the campaign for justice.
The acquittal of George Zimmerman is a slap in the face to the American people but it is only the first round in the pursuit of justice. We intend to ask the Department of Justice to move forward as they did in the Rodney King case and we will closely monitor the civil case against Mr. Zimmerman. I will convene an emergency call with preachers tonight to discuss next steps and I intend to head to Florida in the next few days. I think that this is an atrocity… It is probably one of the worst situations that I have seen. He stated
