#FRESHOUT9jaUpdate 'Dbanj Signs Durella' , Is The Kokomaster Running Out Of Options???

Ever since Dbanj joined Kanye West's G.O.O.D music record label, he has been making certain decisions which may affect his career negatively after he drops the Mic.
In a bid to strengthen DB records, Dapo Oyebanjo has tried to lure certain artistes to his label but it has mostly proved fruitless. At first he tried to sign Davido, a deal that couldn't fall through because Davido's father wanted his son to be independent in order to stand out. Subsequently, rumours about Banger Lee trying to sign controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh sprang up but this was false.

Over the weeks, Dbanj has worked severally with fast rising indigenous rapper, Olamide and the duo have been pictured several times hanging out outside the country. Rumours about the Kokomaster signing the YBNL head honcho was everywhere, till Olamide cleared the air by stating he's not signed to anyone.
The headline that really caught my attention during the week was 'Dbanj signs Durella'. To start with, i'm a Durella fan, but buying out the self acclaimed King of the Zanga's contract from his record label, Ikonic music isn't a wise business move. Currently, DB records can only boast of two artists, Dbanj's younger brother, Kayswitch and Ghanian,  J.Sol. Now i'm wondering, Durella joining the pack would strengthen DB records??? I don't think so.

Back in the days, Dbanj and Durella were known to be rivals because they have thesame unique voice but the difference between them was, Dbanj has more exposure and his combination with Donjazzy at Mohits records then  also made things less stressful. But Durella claimed, Dbanj stole his style of music and modified it. The matter got serious but i guess maturity settled everything.
Adding Durella to DB records might be Dbanj's way of compensating his former foe, but is this a wise business move, when we have several prospective upcoming acts looking for a foundation to pitch their tents?  Time will tell.
