#FRESHOUT9jaUpdate Girlfriend Mistakenly Shot By Lover Recovers, Forgives Her Lover

A year ago Steve Egan, a hunter who shot his girlfriend after she was mistaken for a hog was hunting in the woods of Flagler County in Florida when he spotted a wounded hog thinking it was the animal he shot minutes earlier. Steve had shot his girlfriend thinking it was the hog.
    His girlfriend, a 51 year old nurse who had worked with heart doctors for 18 years saw blood rushing out from the femoral artery in her leg but was determined not to die in the forest. She made a tightly compressed bandage to stop the bleeding while her boyfriend rushed to call 911. When the medical helicopter arrived to save Lisa Simmons she was already losing consciousness and spilling blood rapidly.
During surgery she died twice, it was the worst non combat injury he’d ever seen someone survive. Her surgeon said
