The 27 years old English footballer has tendered a transfer request and may most likely join Chelsea FC this summer. Just like Fergie's retirement plans was perfectly timed, Rooney's timing was also perfect. According to reports, Rooney approached Alex Ferguson two weeks ago and asked for a transfer out of Manchester United. Though he was told by Fergie its never going to happen, the Manchester United forward might be angered to leave the club before next season.
Chelsea are seriously making a move for Wayne Rooney to strenghten the team for Jose Mourinho who will make his return to Stamford Bridge anytime soon. Rooney whose best friend in football is Ashley Cole won't have problems settling down at Stamford bridge because the two have developed a close friendship over the years. Wayne also told Piers Morgan he is willing to join Chelsea during a trip to America last July
