Former Vice-president and presidential aspirant in the 2011 general elections, Atiku Abubakar stated during an interview on the Hausa service of the BBC yesterday that when the PDP was formed, candidates invested huge amountt of money on the purchase of arms for youths to aid them winning elections.
The 66 years old member of the Peoples Democratic Party popularly called Turakin Adamawa, said he would remain in the party despite the poor treatment he gets from the ruling executives of the party. Atiku also noted there is no difference between democracy and military rule in Nigeria because majority of those that took over from the military were ex-military men
