#FRESHOUT9jaUpdate Popular Social Networking Site, LinkedIn Bans Prostitutes & Escort Services

LinkedIn has banned escorts and prostitutes from its social network of working professionals. The company which has always encouraged users from all walks of life to join its service, stated they don’t want prostitutes or escorts to utilize the social networking medium. On Monday, the network updated its user agreement to state what users cannot utilize. These include the following:

* Upload
* Post
* Email
* InMail
* Transmit or otherwise make available or initiate any content that: Even if it is legal where you are located
* Creation of profiles or provide content that promotes escort services or prostitution.
      A representative from LinkedIn said:
In the old user agreement, we had it covered by saying that one could not use a profile to promote anything unlawful. However, in some countries, that activity ia lawful.
Interestingly, LinkedIn still allows users to add prostitution as a skill. The skill is specifically offered under Law Enforcement profiles. LinkedIn further points out that any searches for skills including “strumpet” and “whore” will be redirected to the prostitution skill.
